DEFORM用来分析变形、传热、热处理、相变和扩散之间复杂的相互作用。 拥有相应的模块以后,这些耦合效应将包括:由于塑性变形功引起的升温、加热软化、相变控制温度、相变内能、相变塑性、相变应变、应力对相变的影响以及含碳量对各种材料属性产生的影响等。

1. 成形分析

2. 热处理
模拟正火、退火、淬火、回火、渗碳等工艺过程
预测硬度、晶粒组织成分、扭曲和含碳量。
专门的材料模型用于蠕变、相变、硬度和扩散。
可以输入顶端淬火数据来预测最终产品的硬度分布。
可以分析各种材料晶相,每种晶相都有自己的弹性、塑性、热和硬度属性。
混合材料的特性取决于热处理模拟中每步各种金属相的百分比。

DEFORM is the most widely used metal forming process simulation software worldwide! To serve our broad user base, SFTC offers a range of systems and modules to ensure that your DEFORM System meets your simulation requirements. DEFORM is used for forging, cold heading, machining, heat treatment, rolling, mechanical joining and a wide range of other applications. DEFORM offers flexible packaging to provide an optimum solution to your modeling requirements. Common system components are utilized throughout. Application-specific GUIs (graphical user interface) simplify data input and postprocessing.

DEFORM is a Finite Element Method (FEM) based process simulation system designed to analyze various forming and heat treatment processes used by metal forming and related industries. By simulating manufacturing processes on a computer, this advanced tool allows designers and engineers to:
  • Reduce the need for costly shop floor trials and redesign of tooling and processes.
  • Improve tool and die design to reduce production and material costs.
  • Shorten lead time in bringing a new product to market.
  • Superior product microstructure and strength.
  • Improved process control and quality.

Unlike general purpose FEM codes, DEFORM is tailored for deformation modelling. A user friendly graphical user interface provides easy data preparation and analysis so engineers can focus on forming, not on learning a cumbersome computer system. A key component of this is a fully automatic, optimized remeshing system tailored for large deformation problems.

DEFORM-HT adds the capability of modelling heat treatment processes, including normalizing, annealing, quenching, tempering, aging and carburizing. DEFORM-HT can predict hardness, residual stresses, quench deformation, and other mechanical and material characteristics important to those that heat treat.

DEFORM also includes advanced capabilities for predicting ductile fracture, micro structural evolution, machining distortion & chip morphology. Extensive user subroutines allow advanced researchers to incorporate their own constitutive, fracture and micro structural models, press specifications & non-metallic materials.

Multiple Operation (MO) Interface helps user to construct successive operations initially and simulate all operations in sequence without user interaction.

DEFORM have different wizards for specific processes like Shape rolling, Ring rolling, Extrusion, Inverse HT, Machining, Cogging, Heat treatment, HT Furnace, Forming Express and Forming, these wizards are customized and helps user to setup complex processes with ease.

Ultimately, DEFORM is able to study the entire manufacturing chain from ingot conversion, through forming, machining and heat treatment, to final product installation. At the same time, the modern user interface has been designed to be accessible to both production engineers and research scientists.
